Alexandra Lonergan

Alex Lonergan is an executive director of CEO Communities at World 50, a company that exists to connect the senior-most executives at leading companies to their peers for candid conversations. Working with more than 1,700 senior executives from Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies, World 50 touches more than 700 globally respected organizations across six continents. Alex is responsible for leading the platform of World 50 and G100 communities that serve chief executives.

Prior to her current role, Alex served as a senior member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Global Board and CEO, Financial Officers and Technology Practices. She spent 11 years at World 50 leading several of the firm’s most prominent executive communities and creating and facilitating a board of directors training program. Alex also led the U.S. strategy and development team for CRH, a $32 billion Irish construction materials company. In this role, she evaluated cross-divisional acquisitions in Europe, Asia and the Americas; identified collaborative opportunities across business units; and defined the strategic vision for North America. Alex has a management consulting and investment banking background, with experience at Bain & Company and J.P. Morgan, where she started her career.

Alex received a B.A. in political science and economics from Wellesley College, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in emerging markets from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and three children. When not spending time with her family, Alex is an elite marathoner and enjoys traveling to off-the-beaten-path locales whenever possible.
