Larry Bossidy
Former Chairman and CEO, Honeywell International
Larry Bossidy is the former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Honeywell International. After 34 years at General Electric, he joined AlliedSignal in 1991 as chairman and chief executive officer and spent the last seven years as vice chairman. In 1999, Larry became chairman of Honeywell following its historic merger with AlliedSignal. He retired from the company in 2000. In 2001, he returned as chairman and chief executive officer of Honeywell at the request of the company’s board of directors. Larry is co-author of the best-selling book Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done, a primer on effective hands-on leadership. Following the success of Execution, Bossidy and co-author Ram Charan developed a sequel: Confronting Reality: Doing What Matters to Get Things Right.
Additionally, Larry previously served as a board member for Merck & Company, JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hills Bancorp. He currently serves as an advisor for the Aurora Capital Group and often acts as a contributor to CNBC’s Squawk Box.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Colgate University and presently resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
